Kaplan is the author of five books: Fashion Cares, The INTERNet, Best Practices, If You Don't Laugh, You'll Cry and How to be Sucessful In Spite of Yourself. She also contributes to her alma mater, the Rotman School of Management and the University of Toronto. Philanthropic work Ĭurrently, Kaplan supports Canadian charities such as the Toronto Arts Foundation, Transforming Faces, and the Vancouver Art Gallery. Kaplan has made appearances in multiple documentary series including The Stats of Life, by the CBC Television network. Kaplan is one of the stars of the Canadian reality television series, The Real Housewives of Toronto. : New You TV, "Beauty by Design", and "The Ultimate Makeover" that aired on the Global Television Network. ![]() Starting in the early 2000s, Kaplan hosted and co-hosted Canadian television shows regarding cosmetic medical procedures and makeovers. In 2002, Kaplan founded the first consumer trade show for cosmetic enhancement, known as the New You Anti-Aging Cosmetic Enhancement Show. In other business interests, Kaplan controls real estate investments located in Toronto, Vancouver and Victoria that include private and commercial properties. It was later named iFinance Canada, a parent company of six subsidiaries offering consumer financing through Canadian service providers. In 1996, following a government decision to reduce funding for elective surgeries, Kaplan founded a company called Medicard Finance.
